Venus Slipper
The Paphiopedilum Callosum is a stunning orchid prized for its curious and unusual floral form. Its large and flamboyant sepals frame a distinctive pouch-like lip that traps insects seeking nectar. Due to the unique shape of this lip, it is also known as Venus Slipper. Revered by the ancient Khmer Empire as a symbol of nobility, the Paphiopedilum Callosum is well-loved in Cambodia, and has been documented in carvings throughout the ancient city of Angkor.
